Frankie Leon Wilkinson

He was born February 4, 1947 in Lockwood, MO to Francis L. and Mary L. (Ingerham) Wilkinson.

Frankie was a loving dad, a great Poppa Frankie and a man who served this great nation. He was a corporal in the United States Marine Corps, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was wounded in action and received a purple heart. He also received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughters, Annie (Patrick) Morris, Rose Hill, KS, Becky Wilkinson, Liberal, MO; sons, Dale (Loretta) Wilkinson, Irwin, MO, Steven Wilkinson, Liberal, MO; several grandchildren, including Anntonella Skyelynn Morris, Rose Hill, KS; brother, Kenny Wilkinson, Greenfield, MO; sister, Taleah Wilkinson, Greenfield, MO.

Military Committal Honors will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2013 at Springfield, Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, Mo 65804.
