

Fred attended L.I.F.E. Bible College in Los Angeles, California, where he met the love of his life, Shirley Resler. Fred and Shirley were married in 1958, and have celebrated 66 blessed years together. They pastored New Horizons Foursquare Church in Grand Junction, Colorado for 26 years, then served as the Great Lakes District Supervisors until their retirement.
Fred and Shirley moved to Wichita, Kansas in June of 2008, where they were closer to their daughters. During Fred's free time, he loved to spend time with his family, golfing, woodworking, building, reading, and traveling.
He is survived by: his beloved wife of 66 years, Shirley; his daughters, Brenda Burger of Wichita, Kansas, and Ronda (Mike) Eisenhauer of Wichita, Kansas; his twin-brother, Ted Parker of Ventura, California; his step-brother, Jack Smedley of Selpupa, Oklahoma; his half-brother, David Smedley of Pomona, California' his grandchildren, John (Tracy) Burger of Hillsboro, Oregon, Brittany (Matthew) Hernandez of Keller, Texas, Bethany (John) Button of Comstock Park, Michigan, Taylore (Aryka) Eisenhauer of Douglass, Kansas, Brianna Burger of Wichita, Kansas, Brodie Burger of Stockton, California, Brielle Burger of Kansas City, Kansas, and Baylee Burger of Springfield, Missouri; along with his great-grandchildren, Parker, Sloane, and Roman Hernandez, Paizlee and Jaxon Eisenhauer, and James, Luke, and Calvin Button; and many nieces & nephews.
Fred lived out his faith. His steadfast love for the Lord was evident for all those to see as many who encountered him were deeply impacted by his teaching, kindness and love.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Christian Chapel Foursquare Church in Wichita, Kansas.
