“I have a great life!” and that he did. Gary Hartman loved life, he made the most of every minute and always took time to let you know he loved you. He showed his love in so many ways, from family get togethers, trips, teasing, joking, voicemails, and texts (even though with his use of Siri you sometimes wondered what he was trying to say!) He had many passions in life, but none stronger than being with his family. He loved cheering on his kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews at sporting events all across the country. No matter the circumstance, Gary was always there.
He loved his country and served in the Air Force for 21 years. He was also an entrepreneur with many businesses over the years. He had a knack for being good at whatever he set his mind to. During Gary’s working career he touched many families’ lives and made many friends along the way. He loved working and was constantly finding things to do, but he hated ‘honey do’ lists.
When Gary entered a room, you knew he was there. He brought energy, joy, love, and lots of fun to those around him. He was a storyteller who could strike up a conversation with anyone about anything, whether he knew someone for 5 minutes or a lifetime. He would do anything to help anyone who needed it and wanted the best for everyone. He had a heart of gold and saw the best in people. Everything he did in life he did with kindness and compassion for others. Being able to provide guidance and support to his loved ones was something he took pride in. He knew how to live life to the fullest and focus on the positive. His outlook on life was an inspiration to those around him. If you had the chance to meet Gary Hartman, you were never going to forget him.
Gary went to heaven on February 8, 2023 and there’s no doubt that his entrance brought joy to those who arrived before him, and we will look forward to that joy when we meet him there.
