George Lymer

Lymer, George W., age 99, retired Boeing employee, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015. George was born March 18, 1916, in College Springs, IA, the son of George and Emilie (Davison) Lymer. On December 29, 1939, he married Hilda Louise (Smith), in Iowa. She passed July 19, 2008. George was preceded in death by his parents; wife of almost 70 years, Hilda; brothers, Herbert and James Lymer; sister, Marget Brown; and son, David Lymer. Survivors include: sons, Norman and wife, Barbara, of Wichita, John, West Monroe, LA, Michael, of Wichita, Marshall and wife, Cynthia Lymer, Wichita; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with family present from 7 to 8 p.m., at Hillside Funeral Home, 935 N. Hillside; funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday, Pawnee Avenue Church of God; burial will follow at Resthaven Garden of Memory. Memorials have been established with Pawnee Avenue Church of God, 2611 E.
