Dear Judi and Family,
My sincere sympathy at this difficult time of losing your loved one. Gil was always so pleasant and had a permanent smile on his face whenever I saw him. Great memories of him and you Judi when we worked together many years ago. My prayers are with you!

Melva McDowell

I met Gil in 1986 after calling him to find out how to join a Wichita city pool league. He invited me to shoot as a substitute player on his Terry’s Club team a few nights later and we became immediate friends. As time progressed, he would invite me over once a week after work to play pool, tell some jokes, talk about work and to introduce new techniques he had read or heard about in order to make us better billiard players. Eventually I ended up attending 3 national tournaments with him and Judi, who invited me to travel with them and always treated me like a part of their family.
 One night, Gil invited me over for dinner and to meet a lady that he recently met at a Christmas party who impressively answered all of his “vetting interview” questions. Because of his love for people, I met Teresa. We dated and married, and have been married for 33 years with 2 fantastic grown up daughters. Gil considered this as one of his finest achievements and I will be forever thankful for him extending all of those invitations, that so positively affected my life. I will miss you friend!

Gil, you will missed.  I remember the last time I talked to you.  You had just finished eating.  You told me "that was the best meal. And before we hung up, you said you loved me and I said I love you too. Gil, you were the best brother in law.
