Sauder, Glen “G.I.”, 92, co-owner of Sauder Service Center passed away August 17, 2014. Glen was a farmer and rancher during WWII. He utilized one of the first threshing machines in the area and became a cattle truck driver then went into the automotive business. He was a school bus driver during his 80’s and finally retired when he was 87. Glen was an avid gardener and self-taught handy man. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucile. His survivors are daughters, Una Sauder, Glenna (Ed) Quatmann; brothers, Norman and Lawrence Sauder; sisters, Justine (Robert) Pitzer, Marylin Halsey, Anita (Charles) Owen; grandchildren, Janell (David) Wellbaum, Melissa (Matt) Stevens; great grandchildren, Brenna, Brooklynne Wellbaum, Emma, Ellison Stevens. Funeral service is 10:00 am Saturday, August 23 at Resthaven Mortuary with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Memorials may be made in Glen’s name to a memorial of your choice.
