I was so sad to hear about Glenda. I knew Glenda from when we lived across the street of each other on Iva Street. She and her family were so nice to me, in fact she is the one that first got me going to church and for that she will always be so very special to me because of her I grew to love the Lord from that day forward. I have been so blessed for that. 
I always wondered about Glenda while I was growing up and always remembered her with a big smile. We have so much fun together, and I always laugh when I remember her and her mom trying to teach me the piano. :-)
My thoughts and prays are with you all, because you were truly blessed with Glenda as your mom.

Glenda and I worked together at Eye Care Associates and whenever I needed help with something I always went straight to her.  She always greeted me with a smile and was glad to help me.  Later on we worked together briefly at Dr . Bumgardner's until she became ill.  Even during this time she kept her sense of humor.  She showed up at work one day after having lost considerable weight and pretended to be an angry customer.  I sat at the dispensing table with her as she described  the problems she was having with her eyeglasses.  Everyone else was in on the joke but I didn't recognize her!  Finally she said, "Lynette, it's me, Glenda" and everyone started laughing.  She looked so pretty and was enjoying her sleek figure.  I took a photo of her in her red shirt and taped it up in the lab with the other photos I cherish.
I don't take the newspaper but for some reason I  flipped through one at lunch today and saw her obituary, almost like she wanted me to see it.  I took it upstairs to show the other employees and a hush just fell over the place.  We all loved her and will miss her so much.  She enjoyed talking about her family and loved you all so much.  I'm so sorry for your loss and everyone else who was lucky enough to know her.

"Glenda had my respect and love the very day I met her! Her children were the cutest children I had ever seen!  I moved next door to her and then found that she was a single mother of six! Wow! The positve attitude and the grace and mercy she showed to all. I will miss her deeply. For Cindy and Timmy and Mathew and Shondra and Mike and Mark, we will keep you lifted up in prayer at this most difficult time in your life. Me and Ashley and Ryan. You have the best mom ever! Never lose HOPE its like a sky full of stars. . .whether we see them or not doesn't change the fact that they are always there. Truly, it is not until the night is at its very darkest. . .that we see them shine the most clearly.  She will be in you hearts forever. Your mom's smile was the brightest-even her eyes lit up! every time! She was so very proud of you guys! She was love. God bless and be your anchor.

While I never knew your mother personally, Tim, I do believe that I know her through you and the young man you have become:  A loving son, husband and father.  Losing a parent is difficult.  I'm thinking about you, Nancy, and your family.

Glenda was the most positive,loving friend. She always had a smile that made you feel good. She will greatly missed by her family and friends.

Glenda was a wonderful woman! A mother figure for many, and she had a lasting impact on my life. I'd not seen Glenda in several years, but thought of her often and will always remember all that she did for me! She looked beyond my childish behavior and saw me.
