Harold Leslie Smith

Harold L. Smith, 77, of Wichita Kansas, formally from Russellville Missouri, died Saturday June 8, 2019. He passed peacefully at his home. He was born on September 2, 1941 to Henry David and Julia Armelda (Porter) Smith in Cole County, Missouri who preceded him in death. He married Linda A. (Colvin) on August 31, 1963 in Kansas City Missouri. She survives in the home. He was a devoted employee of Chance Mfg. of Wichita Ks for over 30 years as an electrician until his retirement on October 1, 2001. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors in nature, with his family and especially his grandchildren. He is the Rock in which the foundation was built and will be forever in our memories and cherished by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughter: Susan K. Walters (Smith) (William E. Simon), Walton KS, Son: Timothy B. Smith, Wichita KS, Brother: Wayne E. Smith (Russellville MO), Sisters: Dorothy M. Robb (Doniphan NE), Laura A. Smith (Russellville MO) Grandchildren: Rebecca Walters (Esteban Gomez), Newton KS, Amy Walters, Newton KS, Cody Walters (Sara Dunham) Wichita KS, Paula Smith, Wichita KS, Spencer Smith, Wichita KS and Great Grandchildren: Michael, Brianna, Michelle, Leah, Mallory, Bradley, Kyran, Gabby, Brody, Rylan, Carly and Ari. He was preceded in death by brothers: John Smith (Holts Summit, MO) Glen Smith (Centertown MO) sister Betty Hodge (Lebanon MO).
