Helen E. Glotfelty

Helen Emaline (Helena) Glotfelty, age 103 of Placerville, California, passed away on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025. She was born to Ralph Warden Helena and Marie Anna (Kouba) Helena on December 26th, 1921, in Wichita, Kansas.

Helen graduated from Augusta High School in 1940. Helen worked for Boeing Aircraft during WWII. She also worked for the Andover Journal and AT&T as a telephone operator. Helen was a great seamstress and sewed high school cheerleader outfits, and prom dresses. Helen loved socializing with friends, playing card games at her Senior Retirement Homes, making crafts, painting ceramics and making holiday keepsake items. Her most cherished memory was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Marie Helena; her brother Melvin Helena, and her nephew Wesley Helena. Also husbands; Lavern Wilde, Clarence Allen, and Lee Glotfelty.

Helen is survived by her son, Martin Wilde and spouse Betsy Wilde, and granddaughter Jenna Wilde.

A private service will be held for Helen.
