To the family of Helen Scherer this is Richard Carlburg spouse of jane a very good friend of Helen. I was passing through Wichita and was going to stop and say hi to Helen and realize that she was no longer with us, but she is with the Lord, want you to know that jane was extremely all repeat extremely fond of Helen and knowing she is with the Lord as Jane of course she is now with the Lord also, God bless all of you, Dick Carlburg, spouse of jane

While we lived in Wichita and David worked at Central Community, we both interacted with Helen often.  She was always so gracious and helpful.  Even when we visited after we left Wichita, she always seemed happy to see us and catch up on life.  Blessings to you her family at this time.  We LOVED Helen!

There was a time when the grandkids were being a little rowdy in her basement and she said, "Quiet down, or you'll have to play me".  She came down those stairs and sand bagged us in ping pong. Confidently put the paddle down and said, "That's how you play." One of the funniest things that happened in that house.  Grandma Helen, you will be missed greatly. 

Will be missed  MS Helen Rose angles will always be with you r.i.ip never forgotten 

To all the Witchita Scherers and thier offsprings,my condolences on the loss of my aunt. She was a very loving person. Remember when my dad and mom moved all of us to witchita  back in the 60s for a better job . It did not workout because i think mom became very homesick. 
Anyhow we stayed with you  guys and girls with Aunt Helen and Uncle orville.
Your parents were the sweetest people.

  

Thank you, Lord, for a beautiful morning. Harry and I mourn the loss of our precious friend Helen. However, we know she's with you Jesus.   Dear Jesus, your light was part of Helen. She loved you dearly and prayed for her family, friends and neighbors. You were a beautiful example for all Helen. We miss you and your love.

I knew Helen when we worked together in the children’s Dept. at Dillards Towne West from 1995-1997. I always remember Helen as being a go-getter. She had a great smile and was very kind. I’m very sorry for your loss and pray for you to have peace and comfort. I’m happy to know she was a believer and is in heaven. 

Lifting all of  up in prayers! You mom was such an amazing woman! She loved her family so much and family dinners/get togethers were something she very much loved. Her faith was so transparent for us all to see and to be mentored by. Words cannot express the love I have for her and you guys!  May God carry you through this valley and you find peace knowing she is in the arms of our heavenly Father and now our guardian Angel.  She will always be remembered by those that loved her!  Go rest high… mama H❤️

My husband, David Slamp, was on the CCC staff for 9 years.. During those years I personally made many trips to the office.  Helen always greeted me cheerfully and we became friends. She was always kind and cordial--a petfect combination for someone meeting the public.  To many, her pleasant manner was the 1st face of CCC.  She lived her life well.

Prayers for miss Helen's family. So blessed to have  known her through central community church.  A beautiful  soul! See you in heaven  someday when God calls  me home!

I remember seeing Helen at all the baby showers /weddings and how caring and such a sweet lady she was. She always made it a point to come up to you and say hello and ask how you’re family is doing, and say it’s so nice to see you. She was such a caring mother and it showed. She will be greatly missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

Beautiful lady inside and out.  I have great memories of going to her home as a kid.  She always held a special place in our family's heart.  I am so thankful her and Mom got to see each other.  They have been friends since childhood.   She is reunited with her dear Pinky!  Rest in Peace Helen.

I'm saddened to learn of Helen's passing.  She was a kind,  gentle and peaceful person.  She will be greatly missed.

I can just imagine how happy she is right now reuniting with her Mom and Dad (Mr. & Mrs. Miller (to me)).  And those who preceded her.

My thoughts and memories are with you all at this difficult time.
