Lawrence, Herbert R. "Herb", 69, of Derby, Kansas passed away on Wednesday March 27, 2019. Herb was born the son of Randall and Senta Lawrence on December 15, 1949 in Council Grove, Kansas. Herb and Virginia Lawrence were married in 1984. Herb retired in 2018 from the City of Wichita Sewer Department. He enjoyed camping, nature, hiking, family reunions and feeding birds. Everyone who knew Herb would know of his kind heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Troy Duncan, nephew; Mike Barber. Survivors include his loving wife; Virginia Lawrence, children; Christopher and Michael Lawrence, Patrick (Maria) Duncan, Cheryl (Steve) Orme, Gene (Laura) Duncan, siblings; Linda (John) Barber, Barbara (Tim) Jenkins, Robert (Donna) Lawrence and many grandchildren. A private family graveside will be held. Memorial services are currently pending.
