Herb was united in marriage to the love of his life, JoAnn Seiwert on October 12, 1955, and to this union two children were born, Donna and Susan.
Herb was a co-owner of McGreevy's Midwest Meat Company in Wichita for many years until his retirement. During his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, painting, fishing, along with making indian head dressings. His biggest joy was to spend time with his family.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Emmett and Helen McGreevy; his wife, JoAnn McGreevy; his siblings, Emmett McGreevy Jr., Kenny McGreevy, Patrick McGreevy, and Rose McGreevy; along with his daughter, Donna Cummings.
He is survived by: his loving daughter, Susan M. Mires McGreevy; his son-in-law, Ron Cummings; his siblings, Joe McGreevy, Mary McGreevy, Karen McGreevy, Tim McGreevy and Mike McGreevy; his grandchildren, Chad, Shelby and Kyle; along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, May 30, 2025, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 North Socora Street, Wichita, Kansas 67212. Entombment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Herb's honor has been established with: American Cancer Society, P.O. BOX 6704, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741.
