

Howard served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a lifelong Kansas resident. Howard was quiet and had great strength and dignified courage. He was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by his wife Lela Mae Eitel, parents Walter J. and Ruth (Platt) Eitel, Sr., brother Walter J. Eitel, Jr.
Survived by daughters Kathy (Miralem) Ovcina and Carol (Mark) Tucker; step-sons George Hephner and Mark (Annabell) Hephner; step-daughters, Rita Hephner, Chris (Phil) Neil, Teresa (Craig) Hull; grandchildren Maude, Alex, Max, Candice, Aubrey, Matt, Annie, Chantel, Katie, Liz, Cody, Amanda, Kyle, Alexis, Tony, Geoff; 9 great grandchildren, sisters Patricia (Virgil) Weigel and Betty Dunbar.
Rosary, 6pm, Tues. Dec. 20 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Chapel. Graveside Funeral Service, 1pm, Wed. Dec. 21 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
