Ima Mckee passed from this life at age 96 on July 25, 2024 at St. Francis Hospice in Tulsa. Born on November 11, 1927, she was the last surviving child of the 10(ten) children born to Hiram and Rena Tucker of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
She married John Mckee on December 7, 1945 and they raised three (3) children in Wichita, Kansas. For many years she worked for the Wichita school system and later, worked at Shepler’s Western Wear until she retired. She and John traveled in retirement until he passed away in 1986. During their travels they purchased a site for the travel trailer around Casa Grande, Arizona.
After John passed, Ima continued to travel. She met and married Otto Finger 5 years later. During their 15 years of marriage, Ima and Otto lived in Arizona but traveled extensively throughout the US and internationally. Wherever they traveled, they made it a point to attend various local worship services each Sunday.
After Otto’s passing, Ima continued to reside in Arizona, where she switched her loyalties from the Dodgers to the D-Backs and faithfully cheered on her new baseball team.
The last 5 years of her life brought her to Tulsa to be near family. She survived numerous medical hurdles during those 5 years but never lost her feisty, fiery personality.
