AVIS DE DÉCÈS
Jack Scott Henderson
27 juin 1939 – 14 juin 2021
Jack S. Henderson, 82, of Mount Hope, KS; passed away June 14th, 2021.
Jack was born in Chicago, IL on June 27th, 1939 to Jack and Helene (Ricketts) Henderson. He attended High School in Wichita, KS and after graduation he joined the Air Force and served as a Medic stationed in Turkey and various other locations. After serving 3 years in the Air Force, Jack began his career working for the United States Postal Service and eventually retired after over 30 years of service.
Jack married Lorna Sue Jones on December 9th, 1983. During their long union of marriage, Jack’s focus was on his family; primarily his Grandchildren of which there were many. Jack and Lorna enjoyed traveling in their camper and spent much time in the Yuma, AZ and the Baja Peninsula area. Jack really enjoyed Mexico and at his Grand Daughter, Rikki’s wedding; Jack became known by the bartenders down there as “Kansas Jack”. Jack’s passion was Gardening, Grandkids, & Gambling (not necessarily in that order)! We all loved Jack very much even though he was a very sarcastic and grumpy old Man.
Jack is survived by his stepchildren, Steven (Cheryl) Brunin of Lake Havasu, AZ, Todd (Amy) Brunin of Fountain Hills, AZ, Ronda (Ron) Gottschalk of Wichita, KS, Michael (Michelle) Brunin of North Las Vegas, NV, Andrea (Jerry) Martin and Amiee (Myron) Engels of Andale, KS, Angela (Kelly) of Colwich, KS. Jack is also survived by his children Jack Jr. and Alicia “Dani”, both of Wichita, KS.
