Janet Pearl Robertson

A graduate of Wichita South High School and Friends University with a B.A. in Social Work, Janet devoted her career to serving families and children. She worked as an ADC Social Worker and later as Director of both Bethlehem Maternity Home and Corinthian Day Care. Her nurturing spirit also showed through her work as a Mary Kay Consultant, where she uplifted others with grace and encouragement.

Janet’s faith was central to her life. A longtime member of Pawnee Avenue Church of God, now Genesis Church, she remained steadfast in her devotion and service to the Lord. Her church community was a source of strength and joy throughout her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ronald Dean Robertson; her children, Jeffrey Robertson (Julie) and Mandy Robertson; stepdaughters, Michelle Robertson and Heather Adlem (Sanna); sister, Kathleen Buffington (Larry); four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna “Mimi” McTaggart and James “Icle” McTaggart.

Janet found joy in scrapbooking, card-making, traveling, and especially caring for her grandchildren. Her creativity and warmth touched many hearts and left cherished memories.

An open viewing will be held on Friday, December 5th from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Kellogg St., Wichita, KS 67209.

A memorial service celebrating Janet’s life will follow on Saturday, December 6th at 10:00 a.m. at Genesis Church, 2611 E. Pawnee, Wichita, KS 67211.

Though she has entered eternal rest, Janet’s legacy of love and faith endures in the lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and peace in the days ahead.
