Blankenship, Janice Lee, 52, Maize USD 266 teacher, passed away February 16, 2012. She was a member of KNEA, the Sedgwick County Zoo, K-State Grad and an Olympiad Coach who loved gardening, antiques, bicycling, bird watching and science, enjoying some of these with her family and three beloved dogs: Quincy, Lady and Macy. She was preceded in death by father, Theodore “Ted” Lee Dittemore. Survivors are her husband Guy Blankenship; daughters Ashley, Elise and Anna; grandchildren Amaya and Liam; mother Donna Dittemore; mother-in-law Stefanie Sampson (James Taylor); father-in-law Jan (Patti) Blankenship; and brother William “Bill” Dittemore. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Janice L. Blankenship Memorial Scholarship Fund, care of Ashley Blankenship. Services to be held at 4:00 pm Friday, Feb. 24 at Pathways Church.
