She acquired an enthusiasm and know-how for automobiles from her beloved Fire Chief father, who raised her until she struck out on her own, beginning her long career with "Ma Bell" ( Southwestern Bell ) starting as a switchboard operator. In addition to her career with Bell, Jeanne held several certifications, skills, and trades: from driving asphalt trucks, or sales, to caring for the elderly. There was nothing she could not do.
Jeanne later moved to Wichita, KS where she reconnected with Albert (Glen) Dill, a friend from her youth in Dodge. They fell in love, were married, and in 1980 brought home their only child, Jeffrey. Jeanne was a proud mother who shared her love of music and hockey, her sense of humor, and her unconditional love with her son.
In 2016 Jeanne and Albert happily retired to the Flint Hills of Kansas. She enjoyed her golden years with him in the country until his death in January of 2023. She then returned to Wichita to be closer to her son.
On January 25, 2024 Jeanne Lee Dill passed away in her home. She is survived and greatly missed by her son Jeffrey A. Dill, his wife Melyssa, and many cherished friends.
