Jimmy Ray Post , age 81, of Hesston, Kansas passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at home with his loving family. Born in Seminole, where he lived till he joined the Army. He was an MP, did 8 tours in Vietnam, was then stationed at Ft. Meade Maryland and Lawton Oklahoma where he retired after 20 years of service.
He was predeceased by his father James and mother Mildred. He is survived by his devoted wife Phyllis, 3 sons, Jim (Marquette, KS), John (New York) and Jerry and his wife Tonja of Owasso, OK and his daughter Karen Ollivett and her husband Billy of Harrisburg, NC; brother Nick Post of OK and David Post of OK; eight grandchildren, James, John Paul, Justin, Tricia, Joshua, Jonathan, Theresa and Trinity; ten great grandchildren, Jackson, Lucas, Joel, Michael, Luciana, Levi, Malachi, Kate, Samuel and Matthew.
Jimmy loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held on January 26th, 2023 at Seminole Baptist Church, Seminole OK at 2:00pm.
A remembrance ceremony will be held at a later date this Spring/Summer at Lake Texhoma.
