Jimye Jo Anne Wykoff

A vibrant and gregarious personality that was felt by all who were near her. One with wit and a twinkle in her eye that all adored. Jimye, 93, of Wichita, KS passed peacefully August, 10th 2024.

Jimye was born at home May 5th, 1931 in Altus Oklahoma to Joe and Xeamae Hurley. She and her siblings, Gil and Billy, created numerous memories that were excitedly passed down to her kids and grandkids.

Jimye would move to Wichita where she proudly raised her four children. She dearly loved her title as mom and was supportive and encouraging to each one.

One of Jimye's greatest achievements was her seamstress talent. She worked on gowns of Miss Kansas and Miss USA ensuring their beauty. Another accomplishment she was quite proud of was her role as pie maker in the family; she made outstanding pies.

Jimye's zest for life will be greatly missed. She had an accepting but protective heart with a sharp, accurate, left hook. Her inspiration will continue on in our hearts and memories.

Jimye is preceded in death by brother Gil Hurley, sister Billy Hurley Ray, niece Paula Ray Mandrick, grandson Jesse Latas, husband Ralph Latas, husband Gary Wykoff and is survived by daughter Pat Latas, son Jeff (Mena) Latas, son Tim (Gina) Latas, daughter Amy (David) Bumpurs, granddaughter Virginia Latas, grandson Alex (Kim) Latas, granddaughter Sierra (Adam) Duncan, granddaughter Vanessa (Nathan) Tullis, great-grandchildren Tatym, Arya, and Ronin Tullis, and great-grandchild Orion Latas.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Love.
