Johnnie enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his wife of 61 years, Marjorie Bailey; his parents, Jim and Cora Bailey; his brothers, Jim and Jolee Bailey; along with his sisters, Barbara Hawkins, Betty Dirks and Bonnie Bailey.
He is survived by: his sons, Jim Bailey and John (Amanda) Bailey; his daughter, Marsha (Willie) Taylor; his grandchildren, Melinda (Adam) Poston, William (Shelby & Bryleigh) Landers, and Savannah Bailey; along with his two great-grandchildren, Millie Poston and Ellie Poston.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2025; Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM on Friday, October 24, 2025, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Acacia Lawn, Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, 5500 East Kellogg Avenue, Wichita, Kansas 67218.
