She was born July 11, 1935 to John and Marion Jones of Rome, NY. She was the only sister to her four brothers. She married Harold Scott Aug 14, 1954. After moving to Kansas she started working at Rusty Eck Ford as an accountant where she retired in 2013.
Joyce enjoyed people and loved to laughed. She was on a bowling league and loved to crochet until Rheumatoid Arthritis made it difficult for her to hold the bowling ball or a crochet hook. Harold and her enjoyed going gambling and watching golf together. She had many small collections, such as Snoopy figures, tea pots, and stuffed bunnies. She enjoyed attending grandkids' school and sporting events.
In her last days, she was at Salem Home where she enjoyed visits from family, talking to her friends and watching the birds in the lounge.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents John O Jones, Marion F Jones; brothers John Jr Jones, Francis “Sonny” Jones, Jerry Jones, and Robert Jones; daughter Beth Ann Kreutzer; husband Harold Scott.
Joyce is survived by: daughter Karen White; grandchildren Valerie Miller (Jason), Jami Malcolm (Alan), Tifaney Lester (Gavin), Scotty Landers (Mindi), Cody Kiser (Kendall Cox), and Kyree White; great grandchildren Aiden, Logan, Julia, Tyler, Adrianna, Kierstin, Bracyn, Wyatt, Brendel, Blake and Dax.
A memorial service for Joyce will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E 13TH ST N, WICHITA, KS 67206.
