Though she was born in Utah, the family moved to the Wichita area around 1955, for Earl’s work. In her youth, they often traveled back to Pennsylvania to visit family. She always had a sweet demeanor which led to many friends when attending school before graduating from South High.
She was a mother of three to David, James, and Robert Raborn and had many interests, one of which was sewing where she made clothes for the family. However, her favorite hobby was to make doll clothes for local ministries.
Working to support her family, Judy held a career with Langdon Tent and Awning Company, where her talent of sewing came in handy while stitching tents, then to golf cart seats, and lastly inflatable bounce houses for children to jump in.
Judy’s hard working hands held her children, made items for industry, and gave a sense of peace to others who received her gifts. She was a kind, sweet, gentle, lady that everyone loved and we are thankful for a life full of giving.
Preceded by her parents and sister, Barbara Lumly; those left to honor her memory are her three sons: David (Beth), James (Virginia), and Robert “Bobby” (Lisa) Raborn; siblings: Donna (John) Harrison, Loretta Shirck; and Bonnie (Augie) Thornburg; several grand and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
