Karen V. Gilbert, 84, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born July 11, 1941 in Saint Marks, Kansas, the daughter of John M. and Cecilia (Doffing) Girrens.

Karen worked in accounting at Cessna for 42 years.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; and her four brothers, Johnny, Leon, Clyde, and Paul Girrens.

She is survived by: her loving husband of 54 years, Dean Gilbert; her step-daughter, Kelly Mowrer of Orman Beach, Florida; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held.
