Karen June Hurley

age 69, of Clearwater, Kansas passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021. Karen was born July 9, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas to Charles and Beverly (Brown) Goin. She was the oldest out of three siblings.

She attended Wichita public schools and graduated from Wichita High School East in 1970. She then married John Hurley on October 25, 1975. Together they had three children Christina, John Jr., and Jeannette.

Karen loved spending time with her family. She was very involved in Girl Scouts where she served as a leader.

After being a Homemaker for 18 years she went back to college and began working in administration at WATC. Karen was a very devoted wife, mother, sister, and most of all grandmother. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memories, husband John Hurley Sr.; children, Christina (Clancy) Charter, John Jr. (Tamara) Hurley, Jeannette (Jeffrey) Blanton; siblings Judith Goin, Lisa Martin; grandchildren Connor Hurley, Morgan Blanton, Madison Blanton, Bronson Larimer, Colt Larimer, Eythan Hurley, Calli Charter and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Karen will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209, followed by a celebration of life service at 10:00 AM.
