Davison, Karla (Kessler), 64, was welcomed into Heaven on Easter morning. From the very first day we could see it, her slightly crooked smile that drew us close. Connecting our hearts and making us one. Smiling, she invited you and me to share her life. In many ways it was a simple life. She loved her God with all of her heart and believed in his golden rule. She filled her days with family, friends and Church. It was a gift handed to us by God’s willing servant. Karla always liked “pretty things”, especially for her home. She loved her home and made it a place of peace and comfort. In every room you could find a cross, protecting those who entered. And above the dining table was her slogan: “The ornaments of a home are the friends that frequent it.” In Karla’s mind there was nothing more important than family and friends. Karla was a good and faithful servant to God and us. We love her and miss her, but know her painful Journey has ended in the welcoming arms of God in a new home, better than her earthly one. Waiting for Karla in Heaven are her father, Jerome “June” Kessler, her brothers David and Audrey. Meeting her too, are her many relatives and friends. But missing her greatly are her husband Joe and mother Margaret and siblings Russell Kessler, Kay Goodknight, Joyce Dolbow and her many relatives too numerous to name. Karla wants to thank you all for your love as she walked her own Via Delorosa “the painful way”. Your love and prayers rewarded her servant life. Please know she loved you deeply and wished you well even on the last day with her slightly crooked smile. Rosary is 7:00 pm Wednesday and Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am Thursday both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. In Lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in Karla’s name for the Jamesburg Park Cemetery Restoration Fund c/o Emprise Bank, PO 2970, Wichita KS 67201 and The sisters of The Immaculate Heart of Mary of Wichita, 145 S. Millwood St., Wichita, KS 67213.
