Long, Kenneth L. (Kenny) 79, retired Cessna Aircraft Company and Machinist Union LL834, devoted Husband, Dad and Papa, completed his journey on earth July 5, 2015 surrounded by family. Kenny had many good friends, neighbors and extended family. He showed his faith by the way he lived his life. For those that looked to him as an example he set the bar very high. Visitation with family 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Mortuary; Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Glenn Park Christian Church. Proceeded in death by his wife of 53 years Leona. Survivors include daughter Sherri (Steve) Sanders of Andover; son Kent (Valarie) Long of Wichita; brothers David (Barbra) Long of Parsons; Phil (Marianne) Long of McCune, sister Linda (Claude) Fosha of Independence; grandchildren Elissa (Chuck) Frank of Wichita, Jeff (Jacinda) Huskey of Reston VA., Justin (Stephanie) Pike of Andover, Laura (Dee) Minnis of Derby, Steven (Denise) Huskey of Wichita; 13 great-grandchildren Memorial has been established with Glenn Park Christian Church and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice .
