Prayers to the family. I will cherish the memories.

I think back on the summer I visited often, even after all of these years. I had so much fun and I felt so welcomed and loved by your family Amanda. I’ll never forget how silly I thought it was when he was getting ready to cook us pad Thai outside on his wok and he just said “let’s wok and roll”.. such a dad thing to say and I think about that often. I love you guys and I know he will be missed.

Homegoing celebration for Khoua Thao brought comfort and glory to God. Cathy and I hold the family in our hearts. How precious a time united in spirit and love. Family remembrances and tributes to a great man in the Lord touched us deeply. May we grow in the Lord as Khoua did throughout his life. We mourn and grieve the loss of Khoua with you, but as ones who have the sure hope and promise of Jesus. We love you Thao family.

I was so very sorry to learn of Khoua's passing. While we haven't seen each other for a very long time, I still consider him a good friend. We first worked together in 1989 at Beech Aircraft. He sat at the desk behind me and I always enjoyed his wit, his jokes, and his soft chuckle. He will be sorely missed. You have my sincere sympathy.  Kathy Fisher

Khoua Thao is God's gift as a brother-in-law to Swee Huan's siblings in Malaysia.  All the more, he is a dear brother-in-Christ , too.  We enjoyed every moment visiting together, whether in Wichita or in Malaysia.  God has given us a common 'taste bud' in enjoying "durian"!  Khoua is always kind, hospitable, and friendly. His steadfast faith in God is a model for his family and to us.  Truly,  Khoua has lived out Psalm 150 - the climax of praise to God -"let everything who has breath praise the Lord". God's presence with him throughout the last journey had given Khoua to fight a good fight.  His faith remained anchored in Christ all the while.
Khoua, we miss you.  The nephews and nieces miss you too. 
We have the assurance from God that we will meet again.

Thank You Khoua and Swee Huan for taking us to Branson. Thank you for enhancing our family bonding. It was a fabulous trip for all of us.

All these precious moments will be greatly treasured. We had a lovely time in Wichita with you and your family during our trip in Sept - Dec 2013. You took time off to bring us to so many places and did so many things together. You are indeed a very friendly, generous, caring brother-in-law, making sure we were comfortable and also enjoyed ourselves at all times in our stay at your place. 
We thank God too for the meetup when you flew to Malaysia in 2018 just to spend the one precious week with all of us: Tan siblings, siblings-in-laws, nephews and nieces. 
Though we were so many miles apart, we thank God that we were able to chit chat over video calls. 
Even the last video call with you was encouraging; before we got the message that you had gone back to the Lord. You were strong in your faith in Christ. You were indeed a testimony of His faithfulness. Even in your struggles for so many years, you stood strong in Him. 
We thank God for blessing you with a loving wife and 3 children who have been always there for you, walking along side with you. May God bless and comfort them as they will miss you a lot during this time of grief. You have gone before us but we know one day we will meet you again on the other shore. We missed you so much... Khoua!

Found memories of our men's  camping in Arkansas with Khoua and Jonathan. Getting ready for our first time outdoor winter camping. Khoua was so well equipped with all his camping equipment to keep us warm.  David and I are so blessed to experience this. Thank you, Khoua. We'll miss you!

I am so sorry to hear of a childhood friend passing away. Khoua was an amazing Guy. I bet he has already had a Banana sandwich with my Momma. Until we meet again, RIP Khoua. Love you and your family. Prayers for his Family and Friends.

I loved all of Khoua's family in Selma. Khoua was special, he fit right in our family on trips to the state parks. He told us about his life and how he loved Jesus. He was like another son. I was so proud of him amd his family with Swee. We had a reunion in Tennessee and had a small deer join us in Cades cove. I enjoyed our telephone conversations and prayers. Our family loved him and we are looking forward to greeting him in heaven.

Khoua and Swee are some of the most inspiring individuals I have ever met.  Despite the challenges of his diagnosis and treatment, they each radiated the sweet, calm assurance of walking with Jesus and the difference that makes in a life!  The photo was taken in July 2021 at the time I was so honored to be the recipient of his amazing book “Beyond the Mountains”.  Their example is something I will never forget.

We remember well this day when Khou harvested his buck.  The joy on his face!  He shared his love of land and nature with us.  We had many conversations about living off the land and hunting.  He asked for advice about hunting which we were glad to share our experiences.  In return we learned so much from his life experiences.   Khou was an amazing,  thoughtful, caring man.  Everytime he came to his farm he would check in with us to see if we needed help with anything.  We will miss his kind smile and visits.  
We will miss you neighbor!  So glad you are no longer in pain and are with our Lord.  We know you will still be keeping watch over your family and friends.

So sad to hear Khoua has passed. He was a beautiful human being.

Khoua was indeed a remarkable person. I always enjoyed being around him because he was so kind and gentle and loving and caring. I remember the last time I was with him was after my best friend died, and I needed a place to get away. So, Khoua and I went down into Northeast Kansas to the land he had there and I went turkey hunting. What a blessed time we had.   I truly love this amazing person and will always remember that tremendous gentle spirit that he had.   Love and blessings to the family at this great loss.  Pastor Norm Allen
