

Lizarralde, Ligia, 76, passed away Feb 26, 2014. Rosary, 5pm Sun, March 2, 2014; Mass, 10 am Mon, March 3, 2014 both at Church of the Magdalen, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Preceded in death by her parents Rafael and Leonor Londono. Daughters Martha Wilson, Olga Lizarralde & grandson, Louis Edward Wilson, III. She met her husband at the age of 12 at a birthday party. They began a 5 year courtship. Ligia and Enrique were married on Oct 1, 1955; they had a loving and happy 58 and ½ years of marriage. They had 9 children together. Upon moving to the United States from Colombia she worked at Eyeglass Inc. in New York for six years before the family moved to Wichita, Ks. She retired after 29 years at Duffens Optical. She loved to sew for her daughters. She was an avid cake decorator and enjoyed making her daughter’s wedding cakes. She was an excellent cook and many enjoyed her Colombian cuisine. In her retirement years she enjoyed providing childcare for grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by her husband, Enrique; Sons: Jorge (Gina) and David (Misty). Daughters: Clara (Doug) Frye, Nohora (Paul) Huff, Laura (Mark) Manning, Diana (Darren) Ensign, Angela Ruda. Grandchildren: Ronald (Shelly) Wilson, Ligia Ann (Daniel) Ballard, Sandra (David) Umana, Jamie Frye, Whitney (Chandler) Rogers, Andres, Victoria, Alejandro Lizarralde, Jed, Daniel, Michael Huff, Kelsey, Jennifer, Parker Manning, Patrick and Ashley Ensign, Ethan Godby, Julya Lizarralde, Austin and Brock Ruda.
