Ferman, “L.H.” Loren, 93, retired Beech Aircraft technician, passed away August 12, 2011. Loren was a member and elder of Bethany United Presbyterian Church, president of Mulvane Senior Center and past member of the Masons and Sertoma. He was a K-State and Royals fan and previously involved in Boy Scouts of America in which he held several leadership positions. Loren was an infrequent champion in Chickenfoot and an Estes Park aficionado. He was preceded in death by wife Lois; parents Howard & Cecil Ferman; brother Rex Ferman and sister Orma Hendrickson. His survivors include sons LeRoy “Lee” (Sherry), Ron and Larry M. (Ellen) Ferman; brother Dale Ferman; sister Katherine Mendenhall; grandchildren Todd, Toby, Thad (Candi), Cory, Cassie (J.J.) Dunn, Rocky, Chris (Keene) Hargrove; great-grandchildren Chase, Bailey, Sara, Jessica, Autumn, Lindsay, Tess, Tucker, Tanner, Jack and Grady. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday; funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday both at Resthaven Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas.
