Loren Otis Wells age 92 passed away on December 9th, 2020, Loren was born June 4th, 1928 at home in the 17 hundred block of South Lawrence Rd. of which is now Broadway, to Earl and Mary Isabelle (Bell) Wells.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Clifford L. Wells; brothers Harold, Claude, Merle, and Donald; sisters Opal, Verna, and Ruth; and wives Virginia Lea and Lois Marie.
He is survived by his son Buddy E. (Debbra) Wells; step-daughters Julie (Richard) Thompson and Jacquie Means; Sister Fae O. (Harold) Ozburn; Grandchildren Tiffany (Dale) Culp, Allison (Michael) Garrison, David (Elizabeth) Wells, Ginny (Russell) Smith, Gabriel (Jessica) Wells, Misti (Jason) Irwin and Christopher Wells; great-grandchildren Alex Culp, Danielle Culp, Leonard Culp, Aidan Culp, Caleb Garrison, Maddilyn Garrison, Julia Garrison, Lillian Garrison, Joshua Garrison, and Michael Boyd Garrison, Grace Wells, Toby Wells, Yosiah Smith, Zedekiah Smith, Besora Smith, Azaria Smith, Austyn Wells, Ariana Wells, Mckinley Irwin, Sawyer Irwin; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Loren at the age of 3 Moved with his parents from Lawrence Rd. to 1710 Mildred St. Wichita, Kansas. He attended Washington Elementary School, Roosevelt Intermediate School and Wichita East High School. He graduated in 1946 from East High's Vocational Machine Shop Department. He lived his childhood days on Mildred until he left to get married in 1949 to Virginia Lea Smith. Loren spent his time working years as a machinist and a tool and die maker, in various manufacturing shops, retiring at age 62 in 1992 to care for his wife Lois Marie who was legally blind. They began entertaining church groups, other organizations, seniors in nursing homes, assisted living homes, senior retired centers, ect. They entertained in Wichita and surrounding towns with religious songs with Marie accompanied on the Autoharp. He played in a Kitchen band called the "Dingalings" and sang in a Senior Choral group called "The Funtastics", after Marie died, entertaining with old time songs. While Loren lived in Valley Center from 1958 to 1984, where He and Virginia raised their sons Clifford and Buddy. He served the community as a volunteer Fireman, Reserve Police Officer and Ambulance Staff Personnel. He sang in Church Choirs while living in Valley Center and after returning to Wichita. Loren enjoyed playing sports in High School, where he played football and wrestled. He played softball in his early adult years.

Funeral Services will be Saturday December 19th, 2020 at 11:00 AM with a Visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lakeview Funeral Home Located at 12100 E. 13th St. North Wichita, Kansas. Burial will be Saturday December 19th, 2020 at 1:30 PM at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Located at 1806 N. Oliver Ave. Wichita, Kansas.
