Marian Lee Wherrell

Marian Lee Wherrell, age 76, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016. Marian was born December 28 1939, in Elsmore, KS, the daughter of the late Leonard Orville "John" and Jessie (Pratt) Ericson. She was a graduate of Valley Center High School. In 1957, she married Wilbur Gene Wherrell. Wilbur passed away on August 17, 1995. Marian is also preceded in death by her son, David Wherrell; son-in-law, Wilbur "Wil" Elder; and granddaughters, Shannon Meisch and Parker Gwendolyn Wherrell. Survivors include: children, Dionne "Dee" and (Jerry) Means, Wichita, Stephanie (James) Crisler, Michelle Elder-Mullin (Sean), all of Wellington, Stephan (Tina) Wherrell, Wichita; daughter-in-law, Lynette Wherrell, Coffeyville; siblings, Norvell (Jeanie) Ericson, Newton, Paula (Dick) Carter, Placerville, CA, Loren (Maureen) Houk, Wichita, Annette (Donald) Brownlee, Berryton, Deanna (Craig) Earickson, Bartelsville, OK, Katheryn Houk, Conroe, TX; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson. Visitation 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at DeVorss-Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita; Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Wednesday; funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 201 S. Millwood; interment will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Schulte. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with P.B.S. and The Tree House.
