Marie J. McClure

McClure, Marie J., 93, entered eternal rest Friday, September 6, 2013 with all of her children and her dog, Kandi, at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, John D. McClure.

Together they raised 5 children: sons John McClure, Jr. and Michael McClure (Jan): daughters Judy Lewis (Don), Janet Gaugler (Dale) and Jill Koehn (Norman); all of Wichita.

She is also survived by her sister Agnes Manion and brother James Klein both of Wichita; 14 grandchildren, 24 great and 3 great-great grandchildren. Marie’s greatest joys in life were her faith, family and friends. She loved cooking, sewing and gardening and her favorite saying was “Shop Till You Drop”.

Her husband always said that there was no sale that she could not find. Visitation with family will be 6pm-8pm on Tues., Sept. 10th at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary.

Rosary will be at 9:30am on Wed., Sept 11th followed by Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Jude Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions be made to St. Jude Building Fund 3030 Amidon, Wichita, KS 67204 or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market Wichita, KS 67202.
