

Marilyn Karen Isham, 94, of Wichita, KS, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 17, 2025. Born on January 10, 1931, in Wichita to parents Chester and Mabel (Nye) Everhart. After graduating high school, Marilyn continued her education in Business and worked as the church secretary until her retirement in 1990.
On June 30, 1950, in Kansas City, MO, Marilyn married the love of her life, Harold E. Isham, celebrating many loving years together until his passing. A devoted member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Marilyn enjoyed a variety of activities. Her favorite hobbies included gardening, scrapbooking, sewing, needlework, and traveling. She also cherished spending time with family and watching the Kansas City Chiefs play.
Preceded in death by her parents, Loving husband, siblings Helen Welte, Charlotte Everhart, and Willis Everhart, and a daughter-in-law Mary Isham. She is survived by her children, Sheryl (Dennis) Stricklin, Randy Isham, Michael Isham, and Karen (Joe) Mortinger, 5 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will take place at 10 AM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church located at 1550 N Chapel Hill St, Wichita, KS 67206. A burial will follow at Wichita Park Cemetery located at 3424 E. 21st St N., Wichita, KS 67208.
