Rhodes, Marion Burton, 94, retired from Beechcraft and a WWII veteran, passed away Nov. 18, 2014. He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Thelma; son, Larry; great grandson, Joshua K. Grier; son-in-law, Fred Trego. He was born on Aug. 25, 1920 to Carl Leo Rhodes and Ollie L. Richards, Scottsville, KS. His survivors are daughter, Connie Trego of Viola, KS; son, Vernon (Mabel) Rhodes of Dover, AR; 5 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Survivors also include sisters-in-law, Novella Trude of Jamestown, KS, Shirley (Bob) Riedmiller of Derby, KS and Naomi Flewelling of Formosa, KS. Funeral service is 10:00 am Saturday, Nov. 22 at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials are established with Robert J. Dole Veteran’s Hospital and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
