Age 74, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away February 18, 2016 after a brief illness. She was born to Floyd and Isabelle Adamson in Harper, KS and spent her childhood years in Harper where she made many life-long friends. Mary attended high school at Sacred Heart Academy and made her home in Wichita with her children Mike and Nancy and dear husband, Bryce. After taking early retirement from State Farm where she worked as a claims processor, Mary spent much precious time with her granddaughter Sara, whom she adored. Because she was not one to let the grass grow under her feet, Mary continued to work and volunteer throughout her retirement. When she was not working as an activities coordinator at Family Health & Rehab, she was often seen visiting the residents on her own time providing conversation, support and companionship. She was also an active parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and member of the senior group Harvest House. Mary loved all of God’s creations, especially her feline companion Zoe, and was always willing to lend an ear to a friend in need. Her quick wit, easy smile, and warm heart endeared her to many and she will be greatly missed by son Mike Joyner (Lily), daughter Nancy Fallier, brother Pat (Joyce) Adamson, grandchildren Sara, Jesse, and Jacob Fallier, great-granddaughter Veronica Sepulveda, and many friends. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to all who have shared their memories of Mary, please know your prayers and kindness have provided us with great comfort. A Rosary will be held Friday, Feb 26 at 9:30 AM and a Funeral Mass will be held following the rosary at 10:00 AM, both at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Memorials may be sent to the Kansas Humane Society or Harvest House c/o Catholic Diocese of Wichita.
