

Mary Elizabeth Ploeger passed away and joined our heavenly father January 5, 2016. She was born February 3, 1941 in Columbus, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Charles Eugene Moore and Doris Lavinia Moore.
Mary was Married to Cletus Ploeger June 1, 1958 in Deerfield Kansas. Following their divorce, she moved to Wichita, KS, then to Joplin, Mo, and finally settled in Wichita to raise her family.
They had three children, Terri Colburn of Topeka, KS, Roger Ploeger of Goddard, KS and Traci Harrison of Wichita, KS. Mary also had 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Mary comes from a large and close knit family with seven brothers and sisters.
Donald Moore and wife Barbara, Lavon Clark and Husband Leonard, Eddie Moore and Wife Judy, Doris Moore, David Moore and Wife Fern, Grace Skipton and Husband Larry, and Connie Nibarger and Husband Robert.
In addition, there are many nieces and nephews which comprise a large and loving family.
Mary enjoyed working and socializing with friends, she worked at the Deerfield High School for several years, Motorola, K-Mart, and finally retired from Boeing in Wichita.
After retiring she put her energies into the large friends and family group she had developed during her life. She was very involved in researching family history and has an extensive collection of research material including many books, files and photos.
She also was very adept at quilting and embroidery. She made quilts for family and friends and was always available to help her family and friends in producing quilts that they could be proud of.
Memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel.
