MaryKaye Norried

MaryKaye Dubro Norried, age 66, loving mother of 5, “Nana” to 15, and sweetheart of 48 years to Eric Norried Sr, passed away January 29th, 2022. After receiving her miracle transplant from Iowa, the Lord called her home.

Although, throughout her life, she lived from coast to coast, MaryKaye passed from this life from the same hospital that she began in. Throughout her life, she found joy and fulfillment in creating beautiful spaces and delicious treats. MaryKaye was a magnificent baker and homemaker, whether it was a new or favorite recipe, or coordinating linens and dishes, she created a home full of warmth and charm. She spent much of her time providing that warmth through making beautiful blankets for her children, grandchildren and loved ones. She loved swimming and was an avid football fan.

While her sweetheart served in the Navy, MaryKaye was instrumental in serving as an ombudsman, to support and serve other naval wives and children. She used her creative and culinary talents to serve and spoil healthcare workers, hospital patients and firefighters in her community.

Her quiet strength, patience and spunkiness defined some of her best attributes. She will be missed for all she was and the hopes and dreams that may have been. Her love will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of her family.

She is survived by her husband, Eric Norried; children, Amanda Bailey, Eric (Erma) Norried, Stephanie (Brad) Tobler, Bethany (Steve) Phillips, Scott (Brooke Bemis) Norried; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Brayton, Noah, Emma, Taygen, Lexi, Aylin, Dylan, Brock, Lily, Eli, Ava, Howie, Emryn, and Leightyn; father, Norman Dubro; sisters, Peggy (Ray) Peters & Patty (Bob) Viveiros; and baby brother, Rob (Annie) Dubro.

There will be an open visitation to celebrate her life on Saturday, February 5th 2022, from 11 am – 1 pm CST, at Resthaven Mortuary, located at 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
