Van Leeuwen, Max A., 87, retired finish carpenter, passed peacefully on October 10, 2014. He was a 4th degree K of C and belonged to the American Legion. Max was preceded in death by his son, David; parents, Henry and Rose; brother, Bill, sisters, Sr. Henrita, Sr. Joan Van Leeuwen, Rose Heagy and Lois Drescher. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; brother, Charles; sister, Lorene (Lee) Klein; grandchildren, Rachelle & Wayne; sister-in-law, Isabel. Rosary: 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16; Mass: 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, all at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora, Wichita 67212. Burial to follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Wichita. Memorials may be given to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church
