She was born in Galena, Kansas to Oscar and Marie Morrison on February 10, 1938. She graduated from Galena High School. She married Arnold Leo Schnieders on November 30, 1957. Evelyn worked at NCR in Wichita for over 18 years, and then enjoyed traveling with Arn to many foreign places. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, crocheting, bowling and decorating their home monthly. She loved visiting with neighbors, her kids, grandchildren and great-grandkids. Grandma-Great, as she was called, was exactly that. Great in so many ways because she was so caring and outgoing!!
She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings; her husband; and son Arnold L. Schnieders II. Evelyn is survived by two siblings, Beverly "Jane" Malle and David Morrison; her children, Lisa (Rick) Durham, Mark (Cheryl) Schnieders, Denise (Dave) Leiker; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.
A rosary will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 10:30 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora, Wichita, KS 67212. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church or the Alzheimer's Association 1820 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67214.
