Melanie worked in the heating and air conditioning field for many years, most recently as Branch Manager for Key Refrigeration. An avid KU Basketball fan, she knew all the players and their stats by heart. She loved teasing others who supported the “other” university. Melanie was known to her nieces and nephews as Aunt Mimi and was always ready to spoil them at the drop of a hat. She loved all animals, especially her cats.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred M. Dodds. Her memory lives on in her survivors: mother, Joan Dodds; sister, Jana (Ron) Teel; nephew, Aaron (Ashli) Teel; niece, Emily Teel; great-niece and great-nephew, Tayla and William; uncles, Richard L. Crego and John W. Crego; many cousins and friends; and especially her devoted and loving friends, Richard Marchetti and Patti Akin.
Memorial Service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 6th, at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, 1600 W. 27th Street N., Wichita, KS. Interment following at Resthaven Cemetery in the Rose Garden.
