She was an East High Graduate, where she lettered in softball and basketball. She was a member of POLKA Club and Midwest Polka Club. She was an H & R Block Tax Preparer for 41 years.
Melba was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Eleanor (Garber) Winters and husband, John Lytle. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Lytle and Larry Shannon, Wichita; sons, Raymond Lytle, Wichita and Allen (Trudi) Lytle, Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Joan (J.D.) Bridges, Bethany, OK and Nadeen Wegele, Newton; 8 granchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation with her family present from 5-7pm, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary and funeral service 1pm, Thursday, March 22, 2012 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church.
