He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a 32nd Degree Mason with Bester G. Brown Lodge #433.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin, Sr. and Loulia (Sheffield) Seglem; brothers, Marvin Seglem and Norman Seglem; sisters Dorothy Schwantes and Betty Louise Seglem.
He is survived by his wife, June Seglem; son Rick (Tammy) Seglem; daughters Deborah (Ken) Hurley, Susan (Johnny) George, Diana (Mike) Kessler; sister Maybelle Chastain; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
