Mina Farahnakian

Farahnakian, Mina, 16, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Mon. May 16, 2016 in Wichita. Mina was born on Feb. 18, 2000 in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of Farnoosh and Shadi Farahnakian and sister of Nura Farahnakian. Mina attended The Independent School in Wichita as a sophomore. Mina played in the school band as a percussionist and was an honor student. She loved her dog Roxy. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Masoud Akhavan. She was survived by her loving parents, Farnoosh and Shadi Farahnakian, sister, Nura Farahnakian of Wichita, grandparents, Mary and Hooshang Farahnakian of Utah, Mahin Allahyari-Akhavan of Wichita, aunt, Shideh Salimnejad of Texas, uncles, Aryanoosh Farahnakian of California, Javad Salimnejad of Wichita, cousins, Shawyon, Shane and Sherwin Salimnejad of Wichita. Great uncle, Sean (Katheryn) Allahyari of Washington, great aunts, Shahin (Perry) Moussavi of Wichita, Parvin (Abbas) Mosafaei of Iran and all of her Independent School Family. Visitation will be held with family present from 6 to 8pm on Thurs. May 19, 2016. Funeral services will be 11am on Fri. May 20, 2016 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Dignity Celebrant Cyndi Pearce Officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Memorials can be made to the Kansas Humane Society.
