Clasen, Norbert Eugene “Gene”, 76, owner operator of Gene’s Heartland Foods passed away Jan. 3, 2012. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, an avid hunter and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and V.F.W. Gene was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Clasen and sister Martina Owens. Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Mary I.; son James (Carolyn) Clasen of Wichita; daughters Debbie (Mike) Dulaney of Wichita, Susan Clasen of Salina; brothers Francis “Fuzzy” of Garden Plain, Kenneth (Pat) of Wichita; sister Shirlene (Greg) Simon of Colwich; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Rosary is 7:00 pm Thursday with family visitation 6 to 7 pm and Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 am Friday, Dec. 6 all at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
