Nettie Darlene Jones

Jones, Nettie Darlene, Our mother, was 74 years old when she passed away in Winfield, KS, on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. She came home the day prior to stay with her family after lengthy health complications. Born on Saturday, June 1, 1940 in Saline Co., KS, she lived in several places including: Saline, Co., KS, Everett, WA, Palmdale, CA, Dallas, TX, Joplin, MO, & Haysville, KS, before settling in Wichita, KS. Darlene married Carroll E. Schaulis on March 7, 1959 in Manhattan, KS. After his passing in April of 1964, Darlene married Joel S. Jones on Sept. 17, 1965 in Dallas. She was primarily a homemaker, but did work in Food Service with U.S.D. 259 at Mary Benton Elementary for several years. She attended church at Central Community Church and then at New Life Covenant. Survivors include her children: Donald Schaulis, Darrin Jones, Shawn Jones, & Michelle Yale; her grandchildren: Summer Guerrero, Mindy Tan, Jesse Crow, Danielle Crow, Joshua Schaulis, Nickole Donohue, Jacob McKinney, Kennaniah Jones, Amanda Jones, Kelsey Williams, Cheyenne Yale, Caden Jones, Emmalynn Jones, Tyler Yale, Laurynn Jones; her Great Grandchildren: Keiera Guerrero, Kane Guerrero, Xoi McElfresh, Phoenyx McElfresh, Presten Fowler, Priscilla Fowler, her sister Donnette & her brothers Ronald, Mickie, & Darrell Dunbar. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband Joel Jones and previous husband Carroll Schaulis, her son Curtis Lee Schaulis and daughter Connie Crow, her grandchildren December Yale & Jeremiah Schaulis, and her Brothers Cleland Dunbar & Ted Dunbar.
