Nettie was born on a farm in southwest Oklahoma on December 10, 1930. She moved to Oklahoma City, OK to attend St. Anthony School of Nursing. She then moved to Wichita, KS to work at Boeing as a nurse where she met her husband, Robert, and together, they raised 8 daughters. She retired from St. Francis Hospital in 1985.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Phelps; brother, Mike Petkoff; son-in-law, Steve Kisley.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Phelps, Jr.; daughters, Mary Ann (Joe) Lester, Jane (Albert) Dick, Teresa (Stan) Stuever, Lisa Kisley, Amy (Brice) Waddill, Nancy Spicuglia, Jennifer (John) Slattery; 27 grandchildren; brothers, Robert and Nick Petkoff.
Rosary 7pm, Sunday, January 22, 2012 and Funeral Mass 10am, Monday, January 23, 2012, both at St. Jude Catholic Church.
