Patricia Jean Capansky, age 85, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024. Pat earned her angel wings, peacefully, with her daughter next to her and grandson, Danny close by. Her letting go days were filled with love from family, friends, and caregivers, day/night. She was comforted through bible stories, spiritual songs, prayers, and having loved ones with her. We shared stories and read her poems aloud.
She was born to Henry Jefferson Shull and Pearlena Bell Shull on January 7, 1939 in Sedan, Kansas, the seventh of nine children.
She loved being with her family, especially her little minions. Had a passion for bowling even playing in some tournaments. Pat and Ed enjoyed camping and fishing on the weekends. She enjoyed shopping and going out to eat. She was always known for her witty remarks such as, Cooter Brown and double parked. She collected angels and hummingbirds, She took pride in dressing well, and having her hair look nice. Pat worked at Boeing, retiring as a Grade 5 Lead, after many years. She loved her animals, especially her toy poodles, cocker spaniel, and old kitty boy.
Patricia had a gift for writing poems about life, family, friends, spiritual and current events. Some would make you laugh, some would make you cry. She would often recite those to anyone who would listen. Sharing her poems brought great joy to her life.
