

It is with great sorrow, that we announce Peggy Ann Conrardy, better known as beloved wife and “Grandma Peggy” passed away, Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Peggy was born June 24, 1946 in Rocks, Hartford County, Maryland, to the late Evelyn Dubbs (Clarence) and Roy Ayers.
She was raised in York Pennsylvania and graduated from West York High School, in 1964. She played the part of “Maria” in her schools adaptation of West Side Story and regaled her grandchildren with stories of dancing on the television show “American Bandstand” during her breaks from school. She married Steven Perry and together they had one son, Douglas Scott. In 1982 she married Dr. Peter Anthony Conrardy, and together, with his sons, Tony Conrardy and John Conrardy, they all became one family where they resided in Wichita, Kansas.
After graduating with a Nursing degree from American University in Washington DC, Peggy worked tirelessly at St. Francis Regional Medical Center. First as the Inservice Educator and then as the Supervisor of the Critical Care Units. She also served the American Heart Association as Chairman of the CPR committee, and ultimately served as Chairman of the Board of the AHA Kansas Affiliate. She retired in 1985. Together with Peter they became residents of Port Ludlow, Washington, and opened “The Nantucket Manor” a B&B. In 1988, Peggy and Peter became limited partners of the Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club in Florida, and then in 2001 they built a home in Orchid, and enjoyed their homes in both Washington and Florida. In 2010, missing family and wanting to be closer to her children and grandkids, they sold their B&B and moved back to Wichita, Kansas.
She loved making cookies and sweets for her husband, and cooking for her children and grandchildren that she cherished. She is greatly loved, forever will be missed.
Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn; father, Roy; dad, Clarence; brother, Douglas; sister, Myrcla; as well as Peter’s son, Benjamin, his brothers, William, John and Thomas, and his sister Charlotte.
She is survived by her husband, Peter; his brother, Michael; sons, Tony and John Conrardy and Douglas Perry and wife Marla; daughter, Annie Sterling; granddaughters, Karah McClaflin, Katherine Safarik, Elizabeth Perry, Sophia Perryhill, Beatrice Defenbaugh, and Evelyn Perry; grandsons, Ben Conrardy, Liam Conrardy, Nicolas Sterling, and Tristan Barnett; and her seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral Mass will be accompanied by John and Sasha Korczynski and choir at St.Sebastian Church in Sebastian, FL on March 17,2025 at 11am.
Services will be held at St.Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Wichita, KS. Rosary will be March 20, 2025 at 6:30 pm. Mass and Reception will be March 21, 2025 at 10:00 am followed by a Graveside Service at Resurrection Cemetery.
