Phyllis L. Melugin

Phyllis Louise Melugin passed away at her home in Wichita, Kansas on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the age of 75. Phyllis is preceded by her father Carlton Smith. Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Ray of 55 years; mother, Molly Smith; brother Gary Smith, and five children; Joy, Jewel, Gregg, Phil and Judy; 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild and one on the way. Ray and Phyllis were married in Wichita, Kansas on August 23, 1959.

The family wishes to thank Phoenix Home Care and Hospice Agency for making it possible for Phyllis to pass away in the comfort of her home.

Phyllis was born in Fort Scott, KS on August 23, 1939. She graduated from North High, High School in 1957 and went on to earn a Degree in Theology and Children's Ministries from Baptist Bible College in 1960. She spent the rest of her life serving in vocational ministry.

Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. Hosting ministry and family get-to-gethers. Writing, reading and cooking.
